The fruit of human nature in the Garden of Eden is filled with beauty and desires.
The artwork utilizes wax molding to shape the fruits, revealing translucent, hollow interiors. Concealed within are the evils of the serpent in the apple and the carnal desires of the female form in the peach. Symbolizing a portrayal of human nature, where light intertwines with primal darkness, they blend with each other.

bottom left : The apple of Eden, inside represents the evil snake.
bottom right : The peach representing physical desire, inside represents the flesh of desire. This is a brass apple cast from wax, sculpted and stained black. The base is padded with apple leaves hammered from red copper and stained. This is the inside view of the apple with the serpent in the middle symbolizing the evil in human nature, suspended within the hollow apple (the serpent can also be worn as a pendant). The peach symbolizes human carnal desire, and one can glimpse the female form symbolizing lust from within the hollowed-out peach. The peach symbolizing carnal desire, opened up. EPIPHYTIC BLUEPRINT

Department of Visual Communication Design, Ling Tung University

During our study of Taiwan's forest ecology, we observed "epiphytism," where organisms attach to hosts without absorbing nutrients. We discovered a fascinating species known as epiphytic plants, predominantly orchids and ferns. Compiling a collection of diverse epiphytic orchids, we gained insights into their growth patterns and their influence on the forest environment.
