Proposal for a walking experience to enjoy a familiar town from a different perspective
Many people do not look at the scenery of the towns they are used to living in. Therefore, we thought that a walking experience to enjoy the town from a different perspective (a different way of looking at the town) would lead to new discoveries and deepen attachment to the town. In this study, we focused on the fact that shining 'light' on a town that is not uniformly visible at night can draw attention to a town that has not been looked at before. While considering the relationship with the body when walking, prototyping and street experiments were carried out, and a 'walking experience wearing light at night' was proposed.

Designing new city walking experiences through 'getting lost' in Sumida, Tokyo Walking in Sumida Ward, you can see the Sky Tree wherever you are. With such a sense of security, you can just kind of go where your heart takes you. This kind of experience may give rise to a rich perspective not found in the modern way of travelling to a destination without making any detours. Through the pseudo-experience of getting 'lost' in the city, we are trying to design a new kind of travel experience in order to have unexpected encounters, to decipher the city and to look at ourselves.
