"Behind the Hertz canvas" uses the artistic expression of sound to turn the most familiar and even a little bit annoying sounds in daily life into a unique self-portrait by using specific parameters. We present the visual form of different sounds with fixed values, deepening the interactive understanding of visual and auditory perception. We reveal another aspect of sound and provide a new perceptual experience the to the audience. This project would like to make the audience think about the deep connection between sound and image.

Taken from the radio environment of the Fuzhong MRT station, the background color rhythms with the sound, and the changing colors echo the intricate routes of the MRT.

It shows the overlapping influence of political parties, and the colors flow with the sounds, symbolizing that the political environment is produced by the fusion of various sounds.

This self-portrait was created by capturing the sound of the train starting up, the sound of people walking in a hurry, the call of the station announcement, and other elements.

The sound is recorded in a park, and the background is combined with the facial features of people breathing heavily while running, showing a sense of gasping speed.

The recording was taken from a cram school and uses crayon strokes to correspond to children's paintings, making the facial features in the paintings full of childishness.

The facial features match the factory environment, and the dynamic scaling presents the sound of hammering in the iron factory, capturing the rough appearance of the toilers as an image.
