Temoaya is a municipality in the State of Mexico where the handicraft trade has undergone a drastic evolution over the years, neglecting the importance of promoting their sale and preserving the culture. The Artisan House is an establishment founded by the tourism department with the purpose of encouraging tourists to purchase local products. In this sense, artisans who sell their creations as street vendors are given the opportunity to be part of this project.
By promoting through Design Thinking the preservation of our culture and boosting tourism in the community, we share our identity and help increase the local economy. Focusing on Temoaya, this effort is especially rewarding as it promises to significantly benefit the community through my contribution. Given that youth-driven projects are relatively scarce, there is considerable potential to inspire others to share their knowledge and contribute to achieving the goals of this initiative.
That's why "Michin" is presented, a movable infrastructure for the exhibition of handicrafts in strategic points, in which the design contains elements such as dynamism, multifunctionality, aesthetics, and mobility, which make it attractive and functional for artisan vendors and visitors.
