As design methodologies evolve with the currents of time, the need for innovative approaches to problem-solving and value creation becomes apparent. In this context, the emergence of "Futures Design," a methodology rooted in exploring possibilities based on future perspectives, stands out. Proficient in expansive thinking and the creation of novel value, Futures Design provides a potent means to navigate the saturated landscape of contemporary existence. This study focuses on "Futures Design," developed by Denmark's Bespoke Company, renowned for its strategic futures insight, with the aim of bringing this forward-thinking approach to individuals beyond the realm of actively practicing designers.
In proposing the "Life Canvas Workshop," an imaginative workshop focusing on creating the future of an individual's life, participants metaphorically translate their lives into rooms. This hands-on experience aims to make the flow of future foresight tangible. Envisioned as a training session for new hires in their third year, the workshop scales down the exploration scope from societal to individual, acknowledging the challenges of introducing these methodologies.
