The term 'Taiwanese girl' initially referred to females from Taiwan, but with the rise of internet forums, it gradually evolved into a derogatory and offensive term, leading to prejudice and belittlement against women.
This project, titled '#Taiwangirl', delves into this issue, attempting to transform the term 'Taiwanese girl' from a negative connotation to one that is positive, respectful, and empowering to women. Through branding, it showcases the characteristics and achievements of women in various industries in Taiwan, such as portraying the fearless leadership of the nation's president, Tsai Ing-wen, and the outstanding accomplishments of world-class athlete Tai Tzu-ying on the international stage.

We use brand building and preserved fruits to highlight the achievements of women in various Taiwanese industries, transforming 'Taiwanese girl' into a term of respect and inspiration. We use illustrations to showcase the characteristics and achievements of women in various industries in Taiwan, such as the courage of President Tsai Ing-wen and the kindness of Chen Shuju. Illustrations depict the wonderful international achievements of world-class athlete Tai Tzu Ying and world-leading CEO Su Zifeng. We illustrate the spectacular performances of international superstar Jolin Tsai on stage and the outstanding achievements of Chia-Chi Chu in various fields. Represented by the multi-layered texture and flavor of candied fruit, the unique characteristics and diversity of Taiwanese women are highlighted.

From the impression that people regard owls as evil birds and unfilial, we can know that people do not think from the perspective of the person involved and only criticize based on the surface. Therefore, I wanted to create it in a satirical way to bring people into the role of Owl Children, from the perspective of the critic becoming the criticized, to show that people will still do things they criticize and disagree with.
