To provide non-verbal pathways for emotional expression for individuals with alexithymia, conveying the user's emotional state through lighting fixtures. This design encourages them to express their personal feelings while also enabling them to understand the emotions of others through the same lighting fixtures. Such a design encourages them to express their individual emotions, while simultaneously fostering deeper interpersonal connections. By applying the concept of metacognition to the lighting fixtures, individuals with alexithymia can observe themselves from a distant perspective, allowing them to reflect on their emotions in the third person.
