This work is inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos and blends it with traditional Chinese aesthetics, creating a uniquely eerie world and artistic style.
Through this setting, it explores questions such as: “Can deities develop emotions toward their creations? If the mortal world is but an illusion, what reason would a god have to save its people?” Guided by the protagonist, players will uncover the culture of the Peach Blossom Spring, break free from the curse, and seek a perfect ending.
Taxi
Department of Crafts and Creative Design, National University of Kaohsiung
This story follows a taxi that offers some rather “special” services — while it may look like an ordinary cab on the outside, the experiences it provides are anything but normal.
Blending comedy with energetic visual storytelling, the project is developed as a dialogue-free animated short. Built around fast pacing and dynamic contrast, the film combines 3D animation with hand-drawn stylized visuals to create a strong sense of rhythm and visual impact. The narrative is driven through characters, props, motion, and scene composition rather than dialogue, allowing the visuals themselves to carry the story. The overall design direction focuses on movement, framing, and the flow of visual pacing throughout the film.
