This work uses MR technology to simulate the challenges faced by individuals with learning disabilities,
presenting effects such as jumping and distorted text to convey their feelings. Afterwards, participants
will write their reflections on a tablet, Which instantly transform into text with handwriting
characteristics typical of people with learning disabilities. Through the contrast between fluent input
and impaired output, it creates deep empathy and sheds light on the unseen half.

Experience the struggles of learning disabilities through MR technology. seeing jumping, blurry, and hard-to-read text,
understand that reading easily is not a given for everyone. At this moment, your eyes become their perspective. Share your thoughts on the Resonance Wall and turn empathy into support.

1067: Track Cadence

Department of Industrial Design, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei Tech

Centered on decommissioned railway sleepers, this project extends the material’s life through functional reassembly. The chair legs feature a contrast between polished surfaces and oxidized textures, showcasing both artisanal precision and the traces of time. Through the interactive sliding of components, the resulting wooden percussive sounds replicate the rhythmic pulse of a train. By translating railway vernacular into an everyday medium, this creative practice serves as a vessel for cultural memory and craft innovation.
