Inspired by Tainan's Turning Sixteen Ceremony, this project reinterprets its meanings of growth and blessing through the power of design. By creating a gift set and functional cultural products, the traditional rituals are transformed into forms that contemporary youth can easily understand and share. The design extends the experience beyond specific ceremonial settings, allowing it to be integrated into everyday life. Through this approach, the project aims to enhance public awareness of the Turning Sixteen culture, foster emotional connection, and sustain this unique local tradition.

Beneath the bright yellow skin lies the extinction of countless genetic varieties. The playful curve belies a history steeped in bloodshed. The sweet flesh, like women in those cultures, has been crushed, pulped, and violated into the blurred, forgotten shape it holds today. Perhaps bananas were never meant to be this way — or perhaps they never truly became it, because no one has ever peeled back that thick skin to let the flesh inside tell its own story.
