This work is a narrative interactive audiovisual installation that integrates a digital platform with modular physical units. Through the connection between online personal journaling app and offline devices, individual life experiences are translated into a perceivable spatial environment. The physical units generate variations of light based on input content, while visitors can trigger interactions with the space, sensing the flow of relationships between self and others. The modular design allows flexible adaptation to different spatial scales.
Presented as a memorial setting for the deceased figure "Wang Jing", the work uses narrative and sensory responses to evoke experiences of rootlessness, separation, and solitude, while questioning how individuals understand existence and leave traces behind.

The installation hangs in a matrix arrangement. Touch the bottom button to begin. Listen to the departed’s original voice. Converse with the departed through light and sound. Read the departed’s life and background.

KALIX A Next-Generation Sampling Tool Used in Incinerators

Department of Industrial Design, Chaoyang University of Technology

This design is developed from the high-risk, repetitive, and physically demanding working conditions of incinerator sampling personnel. It comprehensively addresses key pain points in existing tools, including mismatches with real operational needs, low efficiency, and insufficient protection. The sampling shovel is improved from a conventional gardening shovel by adding an auxiliary mid-handle and enlarging the blade area, allowing sampling tasks to be performed with less effort, greater stability, and improved safety. The cutting tool abandons the traditional sickle form and is redesigned as a quick-release blade, enabling faster access and enhancing emergency response and workflow efficiency. The safety helmet integrates protective goggles to reduce the number of wearable components and shorten preparation time. The respirator is equipped with an air quality warning indicator, providing real-time alerts of hazardous conditions. The unit-volume container adopts a foldable design, balancing operational efficiency with ease of storage. Together, these elements form an integrated sampling tool system centered on ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.
