Mud Continuation Balls are planting modules made from discarded reservoir silt, repurposed through 3D printing.

We discovered that overcrowding of seeds during planting can hinder germination. Therefore, Mud Continuation Balls utilize a perforated and structural design to help maintain proper seed spacing while retaining moisture, allowing plants to grow more easily and gradually. Each module can be freely arranged and combined, making it suitable for desktops, small spaces, and even outdoor use, simplifying planting and making it more integrated into daily life.

Our goal is to transform reservoir silt, once considered waste, into a material capable of nurturing life. Through the combination of reservoir silt and 3D printing, we aim to truly integrate sustainability into our lives.

Through planting, watering, and exposure to sunlight, the mud ball gradually accompanies the plant's natural germination and growth. The arrangement and combination of mud balls can lead to different planting and structural possibilities. Combining 3D printing with modular design allows plants to grow freely in an arrangement. Different shaped mud ball modules can be freely combined to form diverse planting configurations.
