The departed stay vivid, yet time blurs memories—idealizing the lost until they are unrecognizable. We distort them to cope with guilt, creating a weight too heavy to carry. In Lovelapse, Levy paints their wife repeatedly to bridge this gap. By shedding these blinding distortions, we transform searing grief into a quiet, warming light. Someday, we may finally remember them as they truly were—and love with more ease.

ReOil is a kitchen-oriented oil-filtering device designed for modern households. It combines an oil-absorbent filter with a compost-reuse system, transforming waste oil from a source of pollution into a sustainable resource. After cooking, users simply pour oily wastewater into the device. Our experiments show that coconut fiber can absorb up to three times its own weight in oil, making it an ideal core material for the filter. Furthermore, the device encourages users to separate raw and cooked food waste, fostering sustainable recycling habits in daily life.
