In Africa and Southeast Asia, poverty forces many residents to walk barefoot for extended periods. Many regions rely on used shoe donations for aid, but these shoes often depend on long-distance transport, during which the soles easily age and break, rendering them unwearable and wasted. Therefore, we want to improve this situation.

Footprint Remodeling is a design that incorporates everyday plastic waste into shoes. The production process involves collecting and cutting materials, pasting and hot pressing, and finally sewing and assembling them. We hope that making these shoes can be made a little easier. At the same time, it can achieve the concept of sustainability.

Floral Vitality

Department of Creative Design and Management, National Taichung University of Education

The project "Floral Vitality" draws inspiration from the idiom meaning"to describe something vividly."By extracting the colors of Taiwan's native flowers, we transform natural hues into a tactile and expressive medium. Using color as a bridge, we combine crayons with regenerative design concepts, allowing the spectrum of the land to enter daily life. Through children's drawing and creative expression, these natural colors become a starting point for understanding their hometown. Through depiction and imagination, the project fosters a sense of connection and identity with the land, establishing a color memory unique to Taiwan.
