Transforming Tamsui historical site tickets into souvenirs that offer both tactile and olfactory experiences, this design integrates architectural language and simplifies landscapes into geometric visuals to reimagine the heritage sites. Through manual embossing and site-specific signature scents, visitors are guided into physical interactions that bridge the distance between themselves and history.
In response to the core values of healthy living, the design incorporates route planning—including step counts, distances, and calorie expenditure—to realize a vision of heritage revitalization and sustainable wellness.
The Day a Twig Became a Wand
Department of Arts and Design, National Tsing Hua University
Designed for adolescents, this VR open-world adventure seamlessly blends emotional awareness with immersive exploration.
The journey begins in a mist-shrouded forest where the guardian "Wind Spirit" has shattered. As an amnesiac traveler joined by your loyal companion, "Little Dragon," you set off on a quest for self-discovery. In this world, inner feelings manifest as cute yet chaotic "Emotion Monsters." Refusing combat, you soothe these creatures through gentle acceptance. With each emotional fragment gathered, the withered branch in your hand gradually transforms into a wand, symbolizing your inner growth.
Ultimately, you will realize that you are the Wind Spirit, and this entire journey has been a path to self-redemption. Rooted in exploration and empathy, the game reveals that "acceptance" is the ultimate way out of darkness. More than just a visual and sensory VR adventure, this is a profound journey of emotional healing.
