“Finding Foreva HOME – 浪浪回家路” was initiated from the observation that animal shelters in Taiwan currently announce adoption procedures mainly through online or physical forms, agreements, official websites, and pinned Facebook posts. However, these announcements are often text-heavy with limited visual support, lacking simple and easy-to-understand adoption flowcharts or physical handbooks for the public to reference.
Because the presentation of this information is often overly complicated, it not only struggles to capture public attention, but may also discourage people from considering adoption altogether. Many people find the adoption process difficult to understand and may instead believe that purchasing a pet is a faster and easier option.
Therefore, this project uses an illustrated handbook as the entry point of a service design system. The handbook visually organizes information such as “Why Adopt?”, “Am I Ready?”, “Common Misconceptions”, “Adoption Process”, and “Adoption Stories,” allowing potential adopters to gain a clearer and more accurate understanding of adoption procedures and common misconceptions through an approachable format.
As an extension of the service design, an adoption gift set was created to provide a sense of “gratitude and blessing” during the adoption process, while also symbolizing the beginning of a pet owner’s responsibility. The gift box includes a pet identity EasyCard, giving pets a sense of identity while allowing owners to carry it with them in daily life. It also contains a unique anti-loss pet collar featuring a lightweight customized tag made from the pet’s paw print, along with a QR code digital ID tag that allows owners to log in and update their pet’s information at any time.
“Finding Foreva HOME” hopes that every furry companion will one day find a place to call home.
