Dream come true centers on the emotional connections of childhood memories, the restoration of family bonds, and community revitalization. From a personal perspective, the film uses animation to explore the culture of old streets, intergenerational caregiving, the revitalization of old houses, and social enterprise initiatives.

This work seeks to strike a balance between “memory” and “action.” Through the protagonist’s journey of growth, it portrays the gentlest force in community revitalization—not by shouting for change, but by returning to the original intent behind it all and realizing dreams bit by bit.

“This will be an animated short film depicting the emotional connection between people and their community, blending warmth, social action, and cultural preservation.”

In the past, etiquette helped maintain harmony. But over time—shaped by education and social messaging—it shifted from something natural into a set of rigid rules. In many Chinese and East Asian communities, these customs no longer reflect the diversity of modern life. Instead, they create pressure and widen the gap between generations. It’s not that young people don’t want to be polite—it’s that these rituals have been stretched too far, losing touch with real situations. This project brings together the honest thoughts of both parents and the younger generation, asking us to look beyond formalities and rethink what truly matters behind the gestures.
