In the past, etiquette helped maintain harmony. But over time—shaped by education and social messaging—it shifted from something natural into a set of rigid rules. In many Chinese and East Asian communities, these customs no longer reflect the diversity of modern life. Instead, they create pressure and widen the gap between generations. It’s not that young people don’t want to be polite—it’s that these rituals have been stretched too far, losing touch with real situations. This project brings together the honest thoughts of both parents and the younger generation, asking us to look beyond formalities and rethink what truly matters behind the gestures.

Conflict between norms and emotions: an invisible tug-of-war between generations. Deconstructing the shackles of formal etiquette to reclaim the true meaning of dialogue. Knots tied in the name of etiquette, compressing the soul within rigid formalities. Extending reflections on textbook constraints through the medium of stickers.

Romantea

Bachelor Program in Digtal Marketing Design, Ming Chi University of Technology

Romantea centers on the essence of Maokong, celebrating the art of slowing down. By blending Tieguanyin tea, tea oil, and handmade noodles, we have curated the "New Three Treasures of Maokong". This gift set is more than just food; it is an emotional carrier of mountain memories, bridging tradition and innovation while diffusing the warmth of tea culture into your daily life.
