REBEAN — A Sustainable Coffee Brand
Department of Visual Communication Design, Hsuan Chuang University
REBEAN is a name formed by combining “Re” (Recycle / Reframe / Return) and “Bean” (coffee bean), symbolizing the brand’s reinterpretation of coffee.
Centered around the regeneration of coffee grounds, the brand begins with an everyday cup of coffee—from the brewing and drinking of coffee beans to the grounds left behind after consumption—integrating every stage into its narrative and design process.
REBEAN seeks to establish a sustainable circular system of “Bean → Grounds → Regeneration → Public Participation,” redefining discarded coffee grounds as a design material. By combining natural elements such as sunlight, air, water, and flowers, these remnants are transformed into experiential lifestyle designs that can be felt, participated in, and continuously extended.
With the brand as the core, coffee grounds as the starting point, and promotion and participation as its goal, REBEAN creates an open circular ecosystem where design is not merely visual expression, but a catalyst for engagement, awareness, and sustainable action.
