Introduction

"Squeezing Creativity" maps the four Mandarin Chinese’s tones to the design stages: Accumulation, Concentration, Compression, and Record. By stripping characters of their literal meanings, phonetic tones become vessels for diverse interpretation.
The visual identity captures the tension of squeezed paper, exploding at the peak of compression. Using a palette of profound black, department-signature orange, and sky blue, the work mirrors the hidden psychological shifts. Through interactive installations, "squeezing" becomes a shared act, inviting viewers to participate in the dynamic process of creative rebirth.
