Introduction
Designers are the bridges that connect fantasy to reality. As these bridges, we seek inspiration within our dreams and undergo a cycle of validation and trial-and-error in real life, materializing the imaginations in our minds bit by bit.
"Zui Mian Meng" (Intoxicated Dreams): The title plays on the Taiwanese Hokkien phrase for "dreaming." By replacing "doing" with "intoxicated," it emphasizes the liminal state between clarity and blurred consciousness. This "intoxication" isn't the dizziness of alcohol, but a posture of immersion—being drunk on imagination, creation, and a world of self-projection. We lose our way in dreams, yet find our direction within them; we create with sobriety in reality, yet find the momentum to move forward in fantasy. This state of being "drunk" is a soft rebellion, a smiling defiance against reality. It empowers us to be hyperbolic, illogical, and to transform unbridled imagination into a visible design language. When we are "intoxicated in dreams," we loosen the ties of rationality, set inspiration free, and allow design to become a dialogue between the conscious and the subconscious.
"Delulu is the Solulu": Originally coined by K-Pop fans to describe those with delusional hopes of dating their idols, "Delulu" was later adopted by Gen Z and Alpha, going viral through short-form video trends. The phrase "Delulu is the Solulu" (Delusion is the Solution) suggests that through bold fantasy and a radical "fake it 'til you make it" attitude, life’s challenges may find their answers. It carries a hint of self-deprecation—the idea that "in dreams, anything is possible."
