HŌO-PHĀNG, inspired by a Taiwanese term, embodies the shift from rain to sunshine, signifying a fresh beginning for discarded materials.
Observing the prevalent reasons for umbrella replacement, primarily due to frame or mechanism failures rather than fabric damage, we utilize discarded umbrella fabric as raw material. By utilizing the geometric shapes of the umbrella fabric itself, the collection creates bags adaptable to different umbrella sizes. This approach minimizes labor resources in production, maximizes the utilization of umbrella fabric, and produces products that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The inherent waterproof and functional properties of umbrella fabric make it suitable for everyday use in commuting, sports, and other scenarios. Moreover, the design is tailored to the habits of umbrella users, prompting awareness of environmental resource conservation during interaction.
In the process of material recycling, we collaborate with umbrella manufacturers for defective or repaired items, and also consumers for their broken umbrellas. Through this product, lifespans of umbrellas are effectively extended, and waste generation is reduced, thereby integrating sustainability into more people's daily lives.
